Every year in India, c.500,000 newborns die within the first 28 days of life. Donations to Ansh enable us to save and improve newborn lives by building healthcare capacity in government hospitals.

Your donation will support life-saving Kangaroo Care (KC) programs for premature and LBW babies in high-burden hospitals. KC is a low-cost intervention focused on prolonged skin-to-skin contact, exclusive breastfeeding and close monitoring for danger signs, which reduces neonatal mortality by over 30%.

We focus on one of the most cost-effective ways to save newborn lives. Independent estimates from GiveWell suggest that Ansh can save a life for c.$2,500. Beyond survival, our programs help vulnerable babies grow stronger, support mothers in providing life-saving care, and spare families the devastating loss of a child.

Hospital sponsorship
£40,000 can fund running our KMC program at a large district hospital for a full year, reaching over 1,000 vulnerable newborns with life-saving care.
